..about our new stove. These are the times when I realize I'm getting older. Not because of the fact that I'm excited about it..but that I'm excited about a stove and ALSO writing about it on a Friday night. I'm giving myself a pass for being totally lame-o, though, because Chris doesn't even get home for almost an hour and my plans are with him. So here we are.

We moved in back in December and found that we lucked out and got the unit with this awesomesauce Harvest Gold vintage-y stove. It has buttons, not knobs. Some of the buttons didn't really work. Basically a lot of it didn't really work.



I was kind of in love with it. Because of the way it looked. Shallow, I know. I tried to fight the fact that we actually needed a new one..because of the way it looked. Then I realized how lame I was and we called the people and told them the burners only work 1/3 of the time and that we always burn our hands when we take stuff out of the oven because the burner thing on the inside hangs down so low that you have to be some kind of coordinated ninja to get the food out without destroying your hand and/or the food.

Thus. The people came and gave us a new one. The good news is I can finally start posting pictures of recipes I make..because usually I'm too distracted by the range turning off and on and threats of burns to actually follow through with pictures. Happy Friday to me.
