New Prayer Request: Sleep.

7:31 AM

Sleep has been a challenge. (Of course.)

Since Tuesday, we've been relatively restless. We finally got a good-ish nights sleep on Friday evening, and then Saturday night was another hard one (for me at least.) Falling asleep is a problem, and then once asleep I am hit with the worst nightmares and Ellie-memories of hospitals and children and holding another baby who does not get to come home with me. So obviously when I wake up it takes me quite a while to wind down, all the while remembering that it wasn't just a dream..it's sort of happened and is currently happening again.

Our friends left here Sunday morning and then we literally passed out for the entirety of Sunday--which was much needed but throws off sleeping later...and I desperately want to sleep through the night.

Another request to add on to the ever growing list. Forever grateful for prayer..you just have no idea.

  1. We don't know each other, but a week or so ago, I fumblingly, ramblingly messaged you on FB that I came across your story and found hope in it. I may have sounded like I thought I did, but I cannot imagine the weight of what you had been through then or are experiencing. If this is not ok, I apologize, and feel free to delete. On a deeply human level, whether you are screaming, hopeful, or anything in between, it still humbly brings hope that you would ask for prayer and shows courage that you would press on. It's an honor to be able to pray for others. I am so sorry that you are suffering. This is something I will continue to pray - Father, please perform a miracle and intercede with Elsie Noelle. Please let them be spared more pain. If this cannot happen, please help them feel Your mercy, find peace past what they are going through, even if it's just a little flicker at first, that grows until it covers them. Please give them tangible signs that you love them immensely, and that they, Elsie, and Ellie are known among You and among other believers. Please watch over Jordan's body and keep her physically healthy. Please let the love between Chris and Jordan be a place where they both find rest. Thank you that they would let us even whisper Elsie or Ellie's name. When they are sleeping, at the worst, that they would have deep, dreamless sleep and wake up refreshed, and at best their dreams are filled with the kind of prophetic beauty that speaks life directly into them and healing upon waking into their bodies and their soul. Peace of Christ.
